Well, what a year! 2015 has seen Little Brother Brewery go from strength to strength. It has put all of us here at Little Brother Brewery on a huge learning curve which has brought us a long way. The year saw Little Brother Brewery make its debut into the Vin Monopolet (Bottle Shops) in May with 750mL bottles of Epic Venture, Northern Trappist and Stryn which was just incredible. To top it off, one more brew was added onto shelves around the country, just in time for the festive season, with the addition of Big Belly our 2015 Juleøl. Big Belly also marked our first contract brew, with the great guys from Oslo’s largest microbrewery ‘St. Hallvards’, who allowed us to brew on their system of 20 times our normal capacity.
2015 was the year that Little Brother Brewery made its debut at Bergen Øl Festival, which followed with many collaborations with breweries who we now call friends. While at Bergen Øl Festival we were also fortunate to earn our first ever award, being voted as one of the ‘Peoples Favourites’ by blind taste testing, with our Imperial Stout “Lights Out”. 2015 also saw a first for Grunerlokka Brygghus, who allowed us to be the first outside brewery to use their system to bring Lights Out to the wider audience in the Vin Monopolet.
2016 has already started with quite a bang, and we have some big ideas of where we want to go, who we want to become and how we get there. Expect more collaborations, more contract brews and more appearances at various festivals around this great country that is Norway.
